Possibly the most buzz-worthy announcement for die hard Nintendo fans straight from the Nintendo Direct presentation, today April 17, 2013, is the announcement for new(ish) Zelda and Yoshi games are in production! The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 is officially set to drop at the end of 2013, possibly just in time for the holidays! A Link to the Past was initially launched back in 1992 for the Super NES, and was a mega hit! And ever since the vast success of the Ocarina of Time port to the innovative 3D console, Link to the Past fans have been banging down Miyamoto’s door for the same to be done for the other widely popular Zelda title. Nintendo heard the cries and raised us a sequel! A 3D video of the new game will be available in the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS soon after Nintendo Direct concludes.
Nothing official, but I predict the 3D will look something like this…
And as previously mentioned, in addition to the Legend of Zelda news fans of the also ever-so-popular Yoshi’s Island will be happy to know that the third installment of the series is also in the process of being developed for the 3DS!
Yoshi and Baby Mario are back with flutter jumps, ground pounds and egg throws, plus a host of new actions that use the unique features of Nintendo 3DS. –Game Trailers
