The Splinter Cell Blacklist Art Director, Scott Lee, has stated, according to ArabicGamers, that “For next-gen there are a lot of plans in the works […] obviously we can’t talk about that at the moment but I definitely look forward to seeing Sam in new adventures, bigger and better as we go along.”
This only confirms that the well known Splinter Cell series will continue in the future, on next gen consoles. For now we’ll have to wait about 2 months to get your hands on Blacklist, but IGN asked Jade Raymond from Ubisoft Toronto, if they were planning to develope a version of this game for next gen consoles.
“We have a very good PC version coming out that’s been announced. So I can’t say that’s not something we consider, obviously. The PC version has a lot of optimized graphics and a lot of other optimized features. It’s also a version where we’re planning on some additional features for online. There’s some additional community and other online features we won’t have in the console versions. It’s 360, PS3, and PC. Those are the three that we’re focused on right now. The next ones, we’ll just have to see. Let’s get these out the door first.”
PC Gamers, you can then expect a optimized Splinter Cell: Blacklist version for your machine!
